Artists Statement
I love Sculpture, textiles and Artists books (the book as an art form in its own right), my work is a combination of all these interests. I am inspired by geometry, growth patterns in nature and repetitive structures and processes.
I like to produce work that is small and tactile which is why much of my work is wearable, in the form of jewellery.
Paper may not seem like the obvious choice as a material for jewellery due to its fragile and ephemeral nature.
I am interested in the idea that these qualities reflect the nature of the human form itself and also question the nature of `value` in the society we live in, especially when making use of books, maps and other pre printed matter.
